This page is basic, common-sense policies about what I allow for the use of my art and how my commissions work. Detailed explanations are below. If you have any questions, please email me at email@example.com
If you like my art enough to want a tattoo of it on you, that is awesome and I am totally OK with it! It would be nice if you supported me by buying a print of the piece. That way your tattoo artist has a nice, high-res image to work off of as well. If it’s not one I typically offer prints of, just email me! I can do a special order at no additional cost. Once you have the tattoo- please tag me! I’d love to see it :)
If you are a tattoo artist- I DO NOT allow my art to be used in flash or tattoo portfolios without the art being licensed or commissioned from me for said purpose. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to inquire about obtaining some of my art for your tattoos.
My commissions openings are usually announced via my mailer/Patreon and then through all my social media sites and are done on a first-come, first-served basis (rush work can be done for an additional fee). When commissioning me I ask for a detailed description of what you would like (including subject, medium and size). From there I will give you a quote based on my hourly rate + materials and shipping (if applicable). Deposits are required before starting on every commission. I retain the right to refuse a commission if it is a subject I am not comfortable with or simply too big of a project for the time I have open. Commissions are currently closed!
Please note, these are separate from licensed contract work (if you’re looking for contract work, please email me at email@example.com).
I am OK with people using my art for their profile pictures on Instagram, Facebook, etc… as long as the art is credited to me (check my social media links below to see who to tag). This includes banners. However, my art can’t be used in any sort of advertising without permission (so no store front banners or using my art for a store icon, for example).
My artwork is not to be used in any sort of article or publication without express permission from me.
Buying an original piece/print/book/etc… from me (or any reseller) of my work does not transfer the rights to the original image. I maintain all rights to reproduce, alter, publish, etc… any piece I’ve created until the full term of my copyright or until some entity purchases the rights to the original from me.
Yes I can! I have a Patreon tier devoted to teaching people how I draw and design creatures. If you are hoping for free insights/lessons- I am sorry but I simply do not have the time. I get a lot of messages asking for help and if I answered all of them I’d never have time to work on my own stuff. Even my lowest tier gets access to time-lapses and sneak peeks which should provide some insight into my art process.
